Melvyn is a retired taxi driver and ambulance medic who was arrested in 1982 for a murder. He was the first person to contact about the Green River killings. Since that day, the FBI has not ruled him out as a suspect in the case.

Foster matched the killer’s psychological profile, according to the FBI. And it’s for this reason that he’s been placed under 24-hour surveillance.

Melvyn Foster initially became the focus of the investigation of the mysterious Green River Killings in 1982. He was amongst several men who were publicly linked to the case. Many of the men have also been cleared from the suspect list but not Foster.

Foster had contacted the FBI, stating that he knew the victims. As a taxi driver, he had frequently come into contact with several prostitutes. But the FBI had their doubts about him and was always on their top list. 

In late 1982, Foster called reporters and news media saying that the FBI had started harassing him. As per sources, Foster also had heated arguments with the then country’s lead detective, Reichert.

A recent update from the County police reveals that they have arrested Gary Leon Ridgway, whose DNA matched, from several murder scenes. 

Murder and Death From Green River Killings- How Is Melvyn Foster Involved?

There were over five victims from Green River Killings. After the killer was officially named Gary Leon, the FBI finally ruled out Melvyn Foster as innocent.

Gary is an American serial killer who is given the nickname Green River Killer. With a total of 48 convicted murders, he is the most prolific serial killer in United States history. Many of his victims were teenage girls and women living in Washington.

He was arrested on November 30, 2001, as he was leaving the Kenworth truck factory. Furthermore, after his DNA was sent for Investigation, his direct involvement in four killings on Green River was found.

Later he got spared from the death penalty as he agreed to disclose the location of the still-missing victim. He serves his life imprisonment at Washington State Penitentiary. 

Does Melvyn Foster Have A Wikipedia?

Melvyn Foster, the 63 years old cab driver, hasn’t received his Wikipedia yet. He, however, does have an IMDB profile. 

He claimed to have driven several Green River victims during the early 1980s. Also, his story is documented in a Tv series, Cold Case Files, which streamed from 2004 to 2005.
